New Mexico author Andrew Wice to helm world-class annual magazine
Trend magazine is delighted to announce its new editor, Andrew Wice. The annual print and online publication has been a sophisticated source of inspiration for 23 years and is committed to seeking out and sharing the stories of New Mexico’s vast and diverse cultural landscape. Wice brings a fresh perspective to the collaborative effort to reflect enduring trends in the art, architecture, design, and cuisine of Santa Fe, Taos, Abiquiu, Albuquerque, and the communities along the Turquoise Trail.
Trend’s 2022 issue will hit the stands in mid-May, and Wice and his team are actively seeking out talented writers and photographers who can translate the achievements of our state’s cultural movers and shakers into compelling editorial and visual stories. Those seeking to pitch their ideas are invited to email Wice at [email protected]
Wice is a published novelist and award-winning poet. He is also a producer of the Madrid Film Festival and the creator of an acclaimed smartphone App, “The Oral History Tour of Madrid, New Mexico.” A freelance journalist for many years, Wice promises readers the same world-class publication they’ve enjoyed for over two decades. “I’m committed to continuing Trend’s mission to support the arts and keep readers informed about the distinct voices in our chorus of cultures here in New Mexico,” Wise says.
Publisher Cynthia Canyon notes that Wice joins a team of women who have shaped Trend over the decades. “Trend is on a roll, and Andrew is a perfect fit,” she says. “The 2022 issue will commemorate the perseverance and ingenuity of New Mexicans in these rapidly changing times.”
